This is the Recycled Canvas theme for Wordpress by the Creative Synthesis Collaborative (Version: 0.91)
URI: http://www.creativesynthesis.net/blog/projects/recycled-canvas-theme/

We're experimenting with data collection, design, and creative synthesis. If you are using this theme please make sure you have the recycled data wordpress plugin turned ON.

Installation instructions:
1) Drop the recycledcanvas folder into the wp-content/themes directory.
2) Drop the recycled-data folder into the wp-content/plugins directory.
3) Activate both, and it should be working.

Release notes:
Minor bug fixes, additional chrome, and the 'normal' view looks more normal.

This theme is an experiment. Not just in design, but in experimental methodology, sharing, and process. The license the the theme is offered under is not a creative commons, gpl, or anything that you are probably familiar with. The recycled learning license is a little different, and deserves some explanation.

Essentially if you use the theme you agree to install a wordpress plugin that collects some data and sends it back to us. Mostly we’re after mousetracking data - the x,y coordinates that your visitors send their mouse tails to. This data is completely available for anyone to see (including, unfortunately, unscrupulous types like advertisers - although commercial uses are technically forbidden by the terms of the license). The intent is to use this for academic research in how people share designs, use blogs, and a variety of other purposes. It takes a few minutes to sink in, so please read the license details at (http://www.creativesynthesis.net/recycling/licenses/learning/0.1/)

There is an experimenter rss feed available at (http://www.creativesynthesis.net/rc-exp-updates.xml) to keep updated on theme changes / surveys / and design discussions about the theme.

This theme bundles the following plugins (often with some heavy modification) for convenience of distribution. If you have any of these plugins installed already you may have some problems. If so disable the plugin while using the theme.
